Morning all! Prov 27.18 says “Whoever tends the fig tree shall eat its fruit; so he who patiently and faithfully guards and heeds his master shall be honored”
This verse reminds us of the importance of consistency and faithfulness. Most things in life take a consistent investment of time and effort before we see the benefits. Waiting to see the ‘fruits’ of anything is often the hardest part of the process; especially as we live in a culture that teaches us to expect to get everything now. The law of nature serves as a constant reminder that everything happens in its season. Whether it be seeing the manifestation of God’s plan in our work, our ministries, our relationships or our talents – there’s always a need to sow time and effort before we reap rewards. Let’s ask God, our Master, to give us the patience to serve Him faithfully, knowing that He promises to bless our efforts in due time when we do.
