Morning all! Ps 13.1 says “How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me?”
Waiting on God to manifest His promises is often the hardest part of the process. The psalmist articulates his frustration on waiting for God to turn His situation around and intervene in his life in the way he (feels he most) needs it. He feels abandoned and forgotten by God. Let’s remind ourselves that God hasn’t forgotten, neither are we abandoned. He cares deeply about us and is working things out in His time according to His perfect purpose. The last few verses of this Psalm instruct us to trust God, praising Him whilst we wait and remembering how He has come through for us in the past. Let’s be mindful to do exactly that even when we feel overwhelmed by the waiting.
