Morning all! Ps 20.7,8 says “Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.”
Misplaced trust can be so detrimental yet it’s something we often struggle with. Although we all ‘want’ to trust God, sometimes it’s easier to trust in our efforts or other people’s influence. We inadvertently rely on our perceived strength and intelligence, believing that they’re enough to secure the results we want; yet that’s simply not the case. This verse is a clear reminder that trusting in God is never in vain. It’s when things don’t look how they should / start unravelling that we need to trust God the most. We’re assured that if we keep trusting Him (consciously resisting the urge to worry), we’ll triumph. Let’s make a deliberate decision to trust God with absolutely everything, absolutely all of the time… not because it’s easy, but because it’s necessary.
Happy Wednesday!
