Morning all! Ps 24.8 says “Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle!”
We often underestimate the power of our God. When life’s challenges become overwhelming, we can slip into a state of despondency – focusing less on who God is and more on how bad our situation seems. Without realising it, we make our challenges bigger than God, giving them far more attention than they deserve. Instead of telling our problems how strong and mighty our God is, we let them control us, subconsciously allowing them to drain us of the energy we need to keep going. This verse reminds us that even in the midst of the battle, God is still mighty. It may seem like we’re losing, but we’re not. Let’s be mindful that our victory isn’t based on who we are or how bad the situation looks. In actual fact, it’s based entirely on who God is and His power to see us through. God doesn’t get tired like we do. Let’s rest in Him and in the knowledge that He fights and wins on our behalf.
