Morning all! Prov 26.12 says “There is more hope for fools than for people who think they are wise.”
The harsh reality is that we don’t have all the answers. As hard as it can be to admit that we’re not as wise as we’d like to think we are, it’s a necessity. This verse makes it clear that we’ve lost all hope when we’re not able to be transparent about our limitations. Although it’s true that a certain vulnerability comes from not knowing what to do next or how to do it, there’s wisdom in acknowledging that we are finite beings. The beauty of this, however, is that we serve an infinite God who fills the gaps we can’t. Society teaches that if we ‘dig deep’ enough, we can find all the answers we need when in actual fact, God is the only One who has all the wisdom we require. Let’s never be afraid to confess our vulnerabilities to Him, because in not doing so, we do ourselves more harm than good. God promises to generously give wisdom to all those who lack it… all we need to do is ask.
