Morning all! Prov 27.19 says “As in water face reflects face, so the heart reflects the man.”
We’ve all been in situations that bring out the worst in us. When we’re under stress and feeling annoyed, we may say things we didn’t think we could say or do things we didn’t think we could do. Eventually, we come to the realisation that there is no excuse for letting people (or pressure) push us to the point where we look anything but Christ-like. We’re all bound to make mistakes, but it’s critical we acknowledge that our actions are always a reflection of our hearts. If we don’t actively work on keeping our hearts in check, we’re inadvertently letting our flesh rule and the results of that are never pretty. We need to make a daily commitment to allowing God to reign in our hearts through His spoken and written Word (i.e. the bible), ridding us of the impurities we so easily collect. Let’s dedicate time to the ‘heart renewal’ process because when we don’t, our ‘ugly’ comes through in full force. God will give us grace!
Happy Wednesday!
Word! A situation like this just happened around me. God will give me the grace to resolve it! More grace Tomi.
