Morning all! Ps 39.12 says “Hear my prayer, O Lord! Listen to my cries for help! Don’t ignore my tears. For I am Your guest— a traveller passing through, as my ancestors were before me.”
This Psalm is a reminder of how fleeting life is. Yet, when we’re in a season of waiting or come against a trial, it can seem like the hard times will last an eternity. Sometimes we forget that God has already seen our entire life span including the ups, downs and in-betweens. Although it doesn’t always feel like it, He knows that every single situation will work out for our good and His glory. God isn’t deaf to our voice or blind to our tears. He knows our every need and want and meets us where we are when we come to the end of ourselves. God’s faithfulness can be seen in the generations before us and will be seen in those to come. Thinking that it’ll somehow skip us or our situation is foolish because God’s nature means it simply can’t. Whatever we’re going through now is only ever temporary – like night turns into day, we go from chapter to chapter and experience changing seasons along the way. As we journey through life, let’s remember that God is with us at every moment, holding our hand and walking us through – the best is yet to come!
