Morning all! Ps 48.14 says “that this is God, our God forever and ever. He will guide us forever.”
God was God before time began and He’ll Be God after it ends. Yet, we still manage to underestimate God in our now. We can get so caught up in our feelings that we stop actively expecting God to show up and show out in our everyday. Of course, we ‘hope’ He will but passively hoping and proactively expecting are two very different things. Proactive expectation means that we believe God is already intervening in the areas we need it most and that it’s just a matter of time before we see it manifest. With proactive expectation comes the awareness that life is full of chapters, some good some bad and many a mix of both yet, through it all, God is by our side. God is ever-present, ready to instruct us in the way we should go and take the things that weigh us down… but we must release them to Him first. Acknowledging God is forever isn’t just a statement, it’s a lifestyle. It’s not enough for us to merely say it, we have to internalise it because only then do we find the indescribable peace that comes from living with our eyes fixed on Him and not the struggle. Let’s commit to listening to God’s instructions and doing what He says; so He can be our guide through each chapter forever and ever.
