Morning all! Prov 14.1 says “A wise woman builds her home, but a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands.”
Building anything requires consistent time and effort, but it’s easy to get frustrated when we don’t think it’s paying off. Wanting to see the full manifestation of our labour is a natural desire but it’s important to remember that very few things in life follow set deadlines. As we start the second half of the year, it’s likely that there are things we wanted to see happen by now that haven’t. On the flip side, however, it’s also likely that we’ve been blessed with things that we didn’t expect. Regardless of what has or hasn’t happened at this stage, it’s imperative that we keep building. The moment we give up is the moment we take ourselves out of a race only we can run – we nullify our chances of achieving the ambitions God put on our heart. Without realising it, we start to tear down the very thing God has asked us to build because nothing grows without being nurtured. Let’s push through our complacency and silence the self-doubt as we trust Him to bless the works of our hands. Let’s take our tiredness to God, knowing that He’ll renew our strength because giving up is never an option!
