New Year, New Who?

Morning all! Ps 56.11 says “in God I trust; I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?”

For many of us, the new year brings with it an opportunity to press reset and start again. We eagerly anticipate all the great things that will happen as we optimistically hope the next year will be better than the last. A month in, however, it’s easy to lose the excitement we had at the very beginning and instead become fixated by the here and now. The ‘same old’ routine can bring about the ‘same old’ stressors/pressures resulting in us getting caught up in the cycles of fear, anxiety and discouragement that we’d rather leave behind. This verse is a great reminder that God cannot and will not leave the picture. He is our peace so as long as He is with us, we have every reason to believe that the best is yet to come. Sometimes the things we see around us can give the illusion that they’re bigger than we can handle. But, that’s all they are: illusions. God promises us that no one and nothing can defeat us, because, no one and nothing can defeat Him. Let’s always remember that God is with us in every single moment and let’s have faith that testimonies will abound in each and every one of our lives. IJN Amen.

Happy belated New Year and of course, Happy Wednesday!

  1. Welcome back my baby dearest. That was a good reminder to focus on the Lord rather than our needs. I pray that the Lord will continue to use you in a way beyond your imagination this year. Love you
