Morning all! Prov 28.6 says: “Better is a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is crooked in his ways.”
Integrity is underrated. We live in a world where
mistruths lies are glossed over and cutting corners is deemed normal. Our societal culture promotes the view that ‘what they don’t know, won’t hurt them’ but in thinking like that we’re doing ourselves more harm than good because, whether we like it or not, we’re reinforcing the very thing we should be taking a stand against. It’s easy to persuade ourselves that no one cares about the trivial things but if we truly strive to live in a way that pleases God, we’d set standards for ourselves that stretch beyond what other people think and instead focus on how God sees the things we do. The reality is a lie is a lie whether it’s a ‘small’ one or a ‘big’ one and if we know God doesn’t rank sin (wrongdoing), we shouldn’t either. Let’s be honest with ourselves and identify the areas of our lives where we’ve missed the mark so we can start being ntentional about living how God wants us to. Walking in integrity may be eaiser said than done but God’s grace is sufficient.
