Morning all! Prov 29.1 says “Whoever stubbornly refuses to accept criticism will suddenly be destroyed beyond recovery.”
Most people don’t like to be criticised. It’s not a nice feeling to be told you’ve done something wrong or that you could have done something better, especially when the person giving the criticsm is saying it in a way you don’t like. Nonetheless, (constructive) criticism is often key to our growth and development so if we’re unable to accept it, we’ll struggle to become better people. The reality is that no matter what age we get to in life, there’s always something to learn. We have to be humble enough to accept this and understand that God can use anyone to help grow us into the people He wants us to become. Let’s be wise in the way we recieve criticism and use it as a tool for our growth and not our destruction.
