Weary Much?

Morning all! Prov 30.1 says: “…I am weary, O God; I am weary and worn out, O God.”

2020 has been a year like no other. It feels like it’s been one thing or another, month after month after month. We’ve seen a lot happen around us and have had to navigate our daily lives in the midst of what has often felt like complete chaos. At this stage, many of us are feeling like this writer: weary, tired, fed up and just done. However, to be fully like the author of this Proverb, we can’t just share his sentiment, we must also share his response by taking our hearts and hurts to God. Sometimes we act like God is blind and deaf to the way we feel, but nothing could be further from the truth. He knows exactly what we’re dealing with and is perfectly placed to meet us exactly where we are. As we start this new month, let’s be intentional about pouring our hearts out to God and surrendering completely to Him. His care for us is unchanging and He is the unending source of our strength. Let’s be sure to stay close to Him and trust that September will be a wonderful month as we pursue God above all else!

Happy Wednesday!
